Generations have differing opinions regarding today’s pandemic crisis
NRC Health diligently gathers consumer insights. Recently, the data being gathered has been centered around the coronavirus pandemic, with the goal of understanding how people in different generations are being impacted by the pandemic.
To ensure sufficient representation from all generations, data was gathered from at least 400 respondents from each generation (Generation Z, Millennials, Generation X, Baby Boomers, and the Silent Generation). Highlights from the research include:
- 53% of all respondents have someone in their household delaying healthcare services, while many are willing to use virtual healthcare services (50–70%, depending on the type of virtual service).
- 70% of respondents are concerned about their own mental health.
- 57% of respondents say their mental health has worsened due to COVID-19. This percentage is actually higher for members of younger generations, who say they would be willing to have a conversation with a mental-health professional if one were available.
