Hiring Process
HOW IT WORKS – WITH SOME ADVICE INCLUDED
Applying for a new career can be overwhelming for even the most experienced professionals.
By sharing insight into our selection process, we hope you will find the experience to be exciting
and stress-free. Our selection process begins when you apply for a role on our careers website.
Our talent team selects candidates for initial steps based on academic background,
extracurricular activities, and work experience.
Phone Interview
After we review your resume, you may be invited for a phone interview with someone from our talent team. During this interview, we’ll ask you a series of questions and we’ll take notes while you are answering. There are no right or wrong answers – the best answer is whatever answer you wish to give. After we complete the structured questions, we’ll give you a chance to ask questions about NRC Health.
To help you prepare for the phone interview, please:
- Research NRC – review our website and write down questions you have about your research. Our services are complex and challenging – it’s ok if you need clarification.
- Review the job description and write down questions you have about the role. We expect you to need more information.
Hiring Assessment
Within days of the phone interview, you may be invited to take our on-line hiring assessment. Our assessment helps us determine if your natural strengths and abilities align with our business development role.
Virtual Interview
After we review your phone interview and hiring assessment, you may be asked to interview one-on-one with the hiring manager.
To help you prepare for the on-site interview, think about:
- Why do you want to work for NRC Health?
- Why do you want to work in business development or service?
- What makes you a good fit for this role?
In addition, please:
- Continue to research NRC Health.
- Review your notes from the phone interview and prepare additional questions.
- Be prepared to discuss your strengths, experiences and other skills you developed during your college career/early work experience.
- Review possible questions and practice answering.
2nd On-site/Virtual Panel Interview
The last step in our process is a 45-minute panel interview with NRC Health leadership. If you are applying for Account Development Manager, you will also participate in a hands-on cold calling experience.
To help you prepare for this interview, review:
- Why do you want to work for NRC Health?
- Why do you want to work in business development or service?
- What makes you a good fit for this role?
Other tips:
- Review your notes from the first virtual interview and prepare additional questions.
- Ensure your interview suit is clean and well-pressed.
- Be prepared to discuss your strengths, experiences, and other skills you developed during your college career/early work experience.
- Review possible questions and practice answering.
After your Interview
Send a thank you note—this detail can differentiate you from other candidates
- Review your impressions—is NRC Health the place for you?
- Think about all the aspects of NRC Health: culture, travel, career path, expectation—both your and NRC Health’s
- Determine if there are any questions you still have that the talent team might be able to answer
We understand your time is valuable, so we’ll do our best to make each decision within a week and keep you informed as soon as we can. Our talent team will stay in touch with you throughout the selection process. Please ask questions at any point during your time with NRC Health. We’re excited about your interest in our organization!
