Let’s transform healthcare together at HUB23

HUB23 will set the stage to improve healthcare experiences for patients, providers, caregiving teams, health systems, and communities.

Here’s a preview of one of our mainstage presentations:

“Front Door Friction? Strategies to Drive Double-digit Improvement,” presented by Aaron Davis, MSHA, FACHE, CPXP, Vice President and Chief Experience Officer, UMC Health System.

The ER is still the front door…and pain there hurts everywhere. Learn how UMC Health System in Lubbock, Texas, implemented strategies to address friction from the ER to the inpatient bed, resulting in a 16% average rate of experience improvement in the ER over twelve months. Inpatient units piloting the approach saw sustained HCAHPS LTR—over 83%.

This presentation will show how UMC leveraged data to identify opportunities to support those who work to improve the patient experience, resulting in critical physician, nurse, and staff buy-in. We will share lessons learned, early results, and sample resources to apply to your health system. You’ll also discover a framework for establishing trust between patient experience and ER staff/providers, learn successful strategies and tactics to engage stakeholders and drive performance, and understand how data can be used to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities.
