In this presentation, you’ll learn about how pediatric patients requiring sedation for medical procedures commonly show signs of anxiety due to a lack of understanding and limited control over their new environment and situation. By personalizing perioperative spaces via a multidisciplinary perioperative team, providers can elevate the pediatric patient experience to decrease potential causes of anxiety and improve positive coping skills. You’ll also learn about standardized tools and techniques that aid patient and parent preparation to improve patient experience.
