The NRC Health 2023 Pediatric Collaborative is truly a can’t-miss experience, with exceptional presentations that will stir innovative ideas for attendees to bring back to their larger PX and marketing teams. The collaborative’s theme, “Understanding On-deck,” will bring high-performing organizations together to connect directly with their “home team” of pediatrics and collaborate with and learn from peers in an intimate and intentional setting.

The event is set for March 28–29, 2023, at Phoenix Children’s in Phoenix, Arizona.

This year’s lineup includes a host of great presentations. Here, NRC Health Improvement Advisor Toya Gorley shares a sneak peak of her own presentation in a quick Q&A.

What’s the title and focus of your presentation?

The title of my presentation is, “Hit a grand slam: Support employee well-being and deliver a better family experience.” Its focus is on addressing employee well-being as a strategy to enhance the family experience.

What do you hope attendees will take away with them from your presentation?

I hope participants will embrace the idea that the organization is just as responsible as the employee for employee well-being. Pizza parties are great—but not enough. We will discuss the need for a comprehensive approach to supporting employees, and share ideas to make a significant impact on their well-being.

Why are pediatrics-centered events like this one important?

Pediatric organizations are unique, and having opportunities to collaborate with others who work in similar environments and experience similar challenges is invaluable. Also, it’s wonderful to hear all the special ways pediatric organizations connect with and care for children. There’s so much to learn from pediatrics-centered events.

What are you most looking forward to at the 2023 event?

I’m looking forward to all the presentations, and to seeing colleagues in person. Can’t wait to see my Cleveland Guardians play the Diamondbacks—and a little sun and warm weather will be awesome, too!

Anything else you’d like to share?

I encourage pediatric leaders to attend the collaborative. I know it can be hard to get away, but this event is worth it. You’ll hear about things that you can do immediately to make a difference for yourself, families, employees, and the communities you serve. You won’t be disappointed!
