Providence Health and Services joined St. Joseph Health in 2016 to form Providence St. Joseph Health. Together they employ more than 111,000 caregivers, 38,000 nurses, and 20,000 physicians. They also have two health plans covering 1.9 million lives. Their system consists of 50 hospitals, 829 clinics, 90 non-acute services, 14 supportive-housing programs, and hundreds of programs and services in Alaska, California, Montana, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas, and Washington.
